ABOUT ACOB
The Arts Council of Bexley (ACOB) encourages and supports a wide variety of the Arts within the London Borough of Bexley.
ACOB shares the view of Arts Council England that the arts have the power to transform lives and communities. ACOB wants to create opportunities for people throughout Bexley Borough. Our shared vision is to promote the arts at the heart of life within the Borough reflecting a rich and diverse cultural identity.

The arts provide opportunities for all of us to explore differences in culture. ACOB wants to show the excitement and celebration of the richness and variety of cultural identity in the Borough and beyond.

We want people throughout our Bexley community to experience arts activities of the highest quality.
We believe that the arts can have a lasting effect on many aspects of people’s lives, in every community and neighbourhood within the Borough of Bexley.

We support groups which include:-
· Arts and Crafts
· Theatre
· Speech and Drama
· Photography
· Music
· Choir and singing groups
· Orchestras and Bands
· University of the third age
· Civic Society, local history, heritage preservation and conservation groups.

ACOB stages or is involved in:-
· Summer Festival in the Broadway
· Danson Festival
· Open-Art Exhibition
· 3D Exhibition
· Concerts at Hall Place and other venues
· Speech and Drama competitions and awards
::: WORKSHOPS
Family Workshops, where parents and children can have creative fun together are always very popular, as are workshops run especially for children or adults.
Our workshops are fun-filled and action packed. They are available throughout the year for people of whatever age or ability to experience and take part in creative and artistic experiences through:-
· Making, doing and contributing
· Watching, viewing, listening
· Reading, performing
· Playing and publishing
We have a wealth of Arts and Educational Activities taking place within Bexley schools and youth groups. Support is offered to encourage young musicians, dance performers and drama students.
Young artists benefit from workshops held at various venues across the Borough. These include:-
· Street Dance
· Hip-Hop
· Pop Bands
· Jazz Groups
· Traditional and Cultural Dance
· Speech and Drama
· Arts and Crafts
