Working in Lesnes Abbey Ward for you
Working for you
We have been working for residents over a number of years on a large range of issues, including speeding traffic, tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, representing residents at the Planning Committee, reducing graffiti, improving education and getting a Children’s Centre for our ward.

Fighting for our residents
We successfully fought to oppose the Labour Government’s plans to axe Freedom Pass funding and to raise the age that people get it to 65. Labour have cruelly disregarded the elderly, taking money from pension funds, cutting funding to Bexley Council that was used for care for elderly and vulnerable people and cutting hospital services.

Dealing with residents’  problems
We deal with diverse requests from individual residents about such things as problems with foxes, housing problems, Council Tax and benefit problems and many more.

Representing our community
We also deal with things that are not the responsibility of Bexley Council, but we can sometimes achieve results by putting pressure on other organisations. For example, Housing Associations, Government departments and Transport for London.
